Play Skate 3 Online in Your Browser

Play Skate 3 online in your browser: launch one of the unofficial builds, compare which version fits your device, and see what each one needs before you skate. Nothing to install — this is a skate browser hub, not a download.

Short answer

Yes, you can play Skate 3 online in a browser. Two unofficial builds are listed here: one streams real game data that you supply yourself, and the other is a rebuild written from scratch. Pick the one that matches your device, then read the controls and requirements before the first load, which is the slowest part.

Ready when you are

This build needs game data that you must supply yourself.

Keyboard help

Unofficial community build. Not affiliated with Electronic Arts.

Unofficial builds only. Neither project is affiliated with Electronic Arts.

Pick a version

Two community builds are worth your time right now. Both are Skate 3 online browser builds, and they ask very different things of your machine, so start with the one that matches your device.

Browser fan project

Skate 3 Fan Game

The community project most players mean when they search for Skate 3 in a browser. It streams the game world straight into the page, but it asks you to supply your own converted copy of the game data, and the first load is slow because of it.

Not verified
  • You must supply your own converted, legally obtained game data.
  • The first load streams a large data file before the menu appears.
  • Listings claim phone support. We have not confirmed it ourselves.
  • Multiplayer availability is not confirmed for the public build.

Open-source WebGPU rebuild

Skate 3 Clean Room

A rebuild written from scratch with Rust and WebGPU. Because it does not ship any original game data, it is the easiest build to just open in a tab — but it needs a WebGPU-capable browser, and it is not the full 2010 game.

Multiplayer
Partial
  • Not the original game: no career mode, no Hall of Meat, no full city areas.
  • Needs a browser with WebGPU enabled.
  • Three large city areas are still not playable in the browser build.
  • Multiplayer rooms are built, but the public relay was not deployed when this was last checked.

Controls are not what you expect

There is no jump button. Tricks come from the right stick, which on a keyboard is the arrow keys. Learn that before you decide the game is broken.

If it does not start

A black frame, a stuck loading bar and a controller that is not detected all have known causes. Most of them are fixed in a minute or two.

Common questions

+Is this the real Skate 3?

No. Both builds listed here are unofficial community projects. One runs converted game data that you supply yourself, and the other is a rebuild written from scratch that contains none of the original career content.

+Do I need to own the game to play?

The build expects converted game data and asks you to provide your own copy. We do not host, mirror or distribute game files, and we link to each project's own page instead.

+Can I play it on a phone?

It depends on the build. One project advertises phone support and the other expects a desktop GPU with WebGPU. Test your own device before assuming either will be smooth.

+Why is the first load so slow?

The build streams a large game data file into the page before the menu appears. Expect a wait on your first visit; later visits reuse what your browser already cached.

+Does it work offline?

No. Game data is streamed on demand, so the first load and every new area need a working connection.

+Can I play with friends?

One build has multiplayer rooms in development, but the public relay server was not deployed as of our last check. We list multiplayer as unverified rather than promising it works.

+Do I need to download anything to play Skate 3 online?

Nothing to download for the site itself: both builds open straight in a browser tab. One of them still asks for converted game data that you make from a copy you own, and that step happens on your machine, not on ours.

About this site and our sources

This is an independent hub for playing Skate 3 online in a browser. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Electronic Arts; Skate is a trademark of its respective owner. Every Skate 3 online browser build we list links back to its original project page, and we never mirror the projects' game data. Where a claim comes from the project's own documentation rather than our own testing, we say so.
